Art Department are probably my best discovery of 2010, and made by far my favourite tune of 2010 'Without You' - loved by so many people.
Available on Soundcloud, the set is an hour long to listen to - but an amazing 8 hours for some strange reason if you download it. Apparently according to Soundcloud, this is an error. It has been removed elsewhere from the internet as Art Department did not intend for this to be released - so don't expect it to be available for ever.
The music is a mix of deep house, and spooky vampire-house of the sort Art Department are famous for, and a scattering of minimal - among the highlights is a remix of "women beat their men" (cannot remember who the original is by and have no clue who remixed it sadly) around 38 minutes - a sublime minimal track which just sounds absolutely out of this world on my wonderful Sennheiser earphones, and I can only imagine what it would sound like at fabric.
Oh and they are playing fabric on Saturday 4th June, in the fabulous main room. Free for fabricfirst members :-)
